Project: The Ageless Playhouse
Please find below the fees and expenses for the work undertaken by the designers for this project. Please
refer to Enclosure A (Schedule of interior design services) and Enclosure B (Programme of work).
Hourly rates : 37 weeks (37.5hrs p/w)
Lead Designer (L) : £75/hour
Junior Designer (J): £55/hour
Director (D): £100/hour
Stage 1 = 12 wks (60 working days)
30% of time = 135 hrs
L - 135(hrs) x 70 = £9,450
J - 112.5(hrs) x 55 = £6187.5
D - 10(hrs) x 100 = £1000
Total = £16,637.5
Stage 2 = 10 wks (50 working days)
50% of time = 187.5hrs
L - 187.5 (hrs) x 70 = £13,125
J - 95(hrs) x 55 = £5225
D - 5 (hrs) x 100 = £500
Total = £18,850
Stage 3 = 8 wks (40 working days)
70% of time = 210 hrs
L - 210(hrs) x 70 = £14700
J - 150 (hrs) x 55 = £8,250
D - 4(hrs) x 100 = £400
Total = £23,350
Stage 4 = 8 wks (40 working days)
80% of time = 240 hrs
L - 240(hrs) x 70 = £16,800
J - 150(hrs) x 55 = £8250

Stage 5 = 4 wks (20 working days)
10% of time = 15 hrs

Total Fee = £94,435
Above is a break down calculation of costings for the design services. Please note, a 10% management fee
has been added to the overall cost.
Additional Expenses:
The expenses and disbursements will be an additional charge to the above fee:
- All travel expenses (45p per mile under 10,000 miles) and 25p (above 10,000)
- Material samples and prototyping
Should any further work need to be carried out that is not stated in the contract, a charge of £60/hr for the
Lead designer and £45/hr for the Juinor designer will be administrated.
