Heels over Head
While Alok Sengupta and family were keeping an eye for that elusive tiger at Ranthambor National Park, a friendly winged visitor perched itself on Aparajita’ s head. These Rufous Treepie( locally known as Pipers) found commonly in Ranthambor approach humans without any fear. Only had the tigers at the national park been so friendly... or maybe not.

Saluting Motherhood
A baby monkey abandoned by its parents has been adopted by a female dog. This photograph was clicked by Anupam Bose who chanced upon this amazing sight in front of his house in Sector 28, Faridabad one morning in Jan 2013. Anupam was so overwhelmed by this spectacle that he rushed in and brought some bread pieces and offered to the dog. Anupam was in for another surprise ‐ the dog refused to touch the bread pieces, while the baby monkey climbed down from its foster mother’ s back, ate the bread pieces and then climbed back to the safety of its mother’ s back. A demonstration of what mothers’ in every specie do ‐ the well being of the child comes first.
