THE DOOR TO OPPORTUNITY
The Stellar aluminium door range
from Epwin Window Systems, delivers
designer edge products for consumers and
practical benefits for both fabricators and
installers too. This is the view of Gerald
Allen, Marketing Manager of Epwin Win-
dow Systems, who said: “Stellar has taken
the ever-popular flush styling to the next
level when we launched the flush door.
The flush lines extend inside and outside of
the door for the ultimate in simple, stream-
lined design that’s so popular with today’s
design-conscious consumers”.
Stellar is perfect for residential doors,
internal doors and French doors because
the slim sightlines ensure the frame never
dominates. There’s also a bifold door, per-
haps the most popular aluminium product
for UK homeowners. Usefully, it’s available
with a choice of PVC-U beading that suites
with PVC-U systems for a more harmonious
solution. The door line-up will be complet-
ed with the addition of a Lift & Slide Patio
Door which is due to be launched soon. It’s
available in 2, 3 and 4 pane variations and
is suitable for openings of up to 6.5 metres.
Sash widths of up to 3 metres wide are
available via a range of interlock sizes to
achieve the best combination of sightlines
and size capability.
Gerald said: “Stellar doors are available
with a variety of threshold options across
the range to meet different access needs and
design requirements. They deliver in terms of
performance too. They meet Building Regula-
tions standards without the need for foams or
special polyamides and can achieve a Doorset
Energy Rating of C and U-values as low as
1.1W/m2K. Weather performance is rated to
BS6375-1 and the system offers multi-point
locking and meets PAS24:2016 standards.
Intelligently designed from scratch, Stellar
is a pre-gasketed system, which saves up to
20% on fabrication time and reduces overall
waste. A patent pending knock-in bead sys-
tem means easier, faster glazing. Thresholds
are removable, so in the event that a replace-
ment is needed, there’s no need to remove
the doorframe. And fully adjustable hinges on
the flush door mean that once they’re fixed in
place, they’re easy to adjust.
Gerald concludes: “Change and innovation
are what drives any industry forward. It’s
something we’re passionate about as a com-
pany and the Stellar door range blazes a trail
in aluminium door design and offers a stylish
alternative to timber, PVC-U or composite
doors delivering new opportunities for our
customers.”
