NOVEMBER 2019 | 3 News Read online at www.proinstaller.co.uk Installsure rebrand paves the way to expansion Installsure is the new brand for GGFi, the specialist insurance provider to the UK glass and glazing industry that was created by the Glass & Glazing Federation in 2005. Although Installsure will maintain close links with the GGF and FENSA, the UK’s largest Competent Persons Scheme in the glazing industry, the rebrand is designed to further enhance its position as an Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) market leader and facilitate the development of a range of new insurance prod- ucts for installation companies of all sizes serving both domestic and commercial markets. The repositioning is also expected to extend the reach of the compa- ny. Frank Allain, Director of Opera- tions for Installsure, explained the reasons for the change: “It was evident a new look, with a de- fined set of values, that embodied the large strides the company has made was necessary to take our innovative company into the next decade and beyond. Speaking to our clients, we wanted to make it clear what the company stands for and can do for them. Our dedicated team has a knowledge of the glazing industry that is second to none and this will help to further establish ourselves as a market leader. Installsure will continue to offer the established range of domes- tic and commercial Insurance Backed Guarantees, Performance Bonds, and a range of corporate policies including Employer, Public and Contract Works liabil- ity, Professional Indemnity and non-domestic property insur- ance. All policies issued through GGFi will remain in place and unaltered, as will be the organisa- tion’s simple application process, seamless job registration and IBG cover for FENSA Approved Installers (as well as all compa- nies registered with alternative CP schemes). Anda Gregory, Managing Direc- tor of GGF Commercial Group, says the rebranding will allow the division to develop its reach as well as portfolio: “Installsure will work closer than ever with FENSA to provide seamless IBG applications for installers across the country while the new brand- ing and products will extend our reach and give us the flexibility to work with all manner of compa- nies and organisations across the sector. We feel the name In- stallsure accurately represents the company. We give re-assurance to installers that they’ll get good value for money and we’ll take the hassle away from insurance so our clients can do what they do best – great installation jobs.” installsure.co.uk TRIO OF TUFFX ROOFLIGHTS SHED LIGHT ON NEW EXTENSION When it came to the construction of a new, single story extension on the back of a property in Sutton, Surrey, one of the most important factors for the homeowners, was how best to illuminate their substantial and stylish new living space with enough natural light. After considering a num- ber of options, the owners were eventually won over by the new, high quality al- uminium framed rooflights from TuffX – specifying a total of three, 1,300mm x 2,190mm units featuring blue, solar control glazing. TuffX’s contemporary aluminium rooflight, which was developed in-house at the glass specialist’s Mer- seyside HQ, is available in anthracite grey as standard and has been designed not just with aesthetics in mind, but also to be exceptionally fitter friendly. It can be supplied directly to installers as a complete assembled unit, and then simply dropped into place and secured once on site. Available in either 6mm double glazed, or 6mm triple glazed with thermal toughened safety glass – and ‘U’ values as low as 0.7w/m 2 – the external panes of each unit also receive an opaque border. This ensures that any joins and sealant are concealed before the panes are as- sembled into an aluminium frame, creating a premium product that’s ready for in- stallation, ‘out of the box’. In the case of this Sutton project, all three units were ordered and deliv- ered within the space of just two weeks, with the installer company report- ing that they ‘went in like a dream’. They added: “The TuffX rooflights were incredibly easy to fit, and we were also highly impressed with the design and quality of the materi- als. Everyone who has seen them has been extremely impressed.” TuffX aluminium framed rooflights can be specified in a range of glass finishes, including clear, opaque and solar, and can be delivered directly to site with a mar- ket leading seven-day lead time. Graham Price, managing director of TuffX, com- mented: “Installers love our aluminium framed rooflights because they represent an attractive, easy to install and high value product that is in demand from consumers. In addition, the fact that we are able to produce our rooflights in bespoke sizes at no additional cost thanks to the control we have over our glass production, makes them an even more desira- ble addition to our custom- ers’ portfolios.” www.tuffxglass.co.uk
