Keylite Roof Windows strengthens commitment to housebuilders at Keystone Innovation Day

Keylite Roof Windows( Keylite) has reinforced its position as a trusted partner to housebuilders by supporting the Keystone Innovation Day in partnership with the Future Homes Hub. Bringing together experts from across the industry, the event explored how product innovation must evolve to meet the requirements of the newly updated Future Homes Standard( FHS) and support housebuilders with compliance.
With over 70 leading housebuilders and energy assessors in attendance, guest speakers included Richard Smith, Head of Standards, Innovation & Research at National House Building Council( NHBC) and Chris Gaze, Associate at the Future Homes Hub. Together with the Keystone brands, they led discussions on how roofing systems, building fabric and energy-efficient components must evolve to meet upcoming regulatory demand – and how strong manufacturer partnerships can support this transition. Guests enjoyed factory tours of Keystone’ s purpose-built roofing facilities and a live demonstration from Keylite’ s Head of Technical, Colin Wells, and Sales Director, James Malkin. The session showcased the award-winning ModuLite system – winner of Best Building Fabric Product at this year’ s Housebuilder Product Awards – and its role in simplifying roof construction while improving thermal performance.
Designed with housebuilders in mind, the ModuLite dormer system exceeds Part L requirements and enables straightforward integration with Solar Photovoltaic( PV) panels, supporting compliance with the FHS without compromising kerb appeal.
With the FHS set to take effect from March 2027, housebuilders are increasingly seeking manufacturing partners to provide clarity on not only product compliance, but also costs, performance and homeowner outcomes.
As part of the Keystone Group, Keylite is backed by over 36 years of construction expertise and supported by sister brands including Keystone Lintels, IG Lintels, Smartroof, Wyckham Blackwell, IG Masonry Support, Crendon Timber Engineering, Keyfix, Stockgap and Showersave.
Jim Blanthorne, Managing Director of Keylite Roof Windows, said:“ With the FHS challenging housebuilders to reduce carbon emissions by 75-80 per cent, manufacturers must adapt to understand the commercial and technical pressures they are under.
“ Events like the Innovation Day give us the opportunity to engage directly with our customers to understand their challenges and demonstrate how our products can help them deliver compliance, while also gathering feedback to inform our future innovations.”
Renowned for its award-winning solutions, Keylite provides a comprehensive range of roof windows, blinds, timber loft ladders, flashings, electric operation kits and accessories.

Eurocell Celebrates 30 Year Partnership With Carlisle Window Systems

Carlisle Window Systems Ltd, a business that has grown from a small local installer into one of Cumbria’ s leading window and door specialists- is celebrating 30 years of partnership with Eurocell.
This milestone marks three decades of innovation, investment and customer commitment, all supported by Eurocell’ s market-leading products and technical expertise. Carlisle Window Systems has been manufacturing and installing Eurocell systems, including Logik and Modus.
The relationship is built on shared values of reliability, technical excellence and long-term collaboration. Eurocell’ s support – from specification guidance and U-value calculations to building regulation advice – has been central to Carlisle’ s growth and ability to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions for homeowners and developers.
Liam Kelly, Managing Director of Carlisle Window Systems, said:“ Our growth over the last 30
years has been built on strong, long-term partnerships, and Eurocell has played a key part in that journey. Working with a supplier that consistently supports us with technical expertise and shares our values has been fundamental to our success”
“ In particular, the support and expertise of Stephen Greaves, North East Technical Engineer has been invaluable. His knowledge and commitment over the years have played an important role in helping us achieve the position we’ re in today.”
Tony Morrison, Head of National Key Accounts at Eurocell, said:“ Carlisle Window Systems is a fantastic example of what long-term investment, family values, and strong partnerships can achieve. We’ re proud to have worked alongside them for decades and look forward to supporting their continued growth in both PVC-U and aluminium.”
Through this partnership, Carlisle has expanded into new markets, including timber frame projects using Eurocell’ s InSite window system. This factory-fitted
solution allows fully finished windows to be installed directly into panels during production, reducing labour, speeding up build programmes, and ensuring a wind and watertight structure from day one. Recent developments also include aluminium bi-folds, sliders, and windows, as well as a commitment to sustainability through Eurocell’ s recycling and waste take-back schemes.
Led by father and son, Jock and Liam Kelly, Carlisle Window Systems remains a family-run business at its heart. Eurocell is proud to support a partner that also gives back to its community, recently exemplified by a project with Chrysalis – a local Carlisle charity supporting young adults with disabilities – where windows and doors were supplied and installed free of charge on its setting.
