1 . There are two systems : Sheerline Classic …
Launched in 2020 , Sheerline Classic has broken the mould with a beadless , ultra-secure aluminium window that combines top performance with peerless aesthetics . Classic is ideal for replacing heritage-style steel windows or creating a sleek contemporary look .
The ultra-slim 59mm sightlines of the Classic window system create the refined architectural look homeowners love . And the corners are perfect too , thanks to a unique construction method that allows perfect run through mitres on internal joints . They are slim windows without the usual compromises !
2 . … and Sheerline Prestige
Launched in 2021 , Prestige is our most thermally efficient 72 / 80mm system , accommodating the largest apertures , and available in the widest range of styles including single and French doors . With no legacy design constraints , Prestige is visually balanced : it looks exactly right , and has the same style options as Classic . Prestige windows also feature a full depth Eurogroove , giving fabricators the maximum choice in hardware options .
3 . It ’ s made from sustainable , 100 % recyclable aluminium
There ’ s no denying the increasing popularity of aluminium . Half of all installers say they sell some aluminium windows and doors and most see it as a growth market . The slim sightlines offer a minimalist contemporary look that homeowners aspire to , while also hitting the mark in terms of sustainability .
It ’ s the most abundant metal in the Earth ’ s crust and 75 % of all the aluminium ever produced is still in use , thanks to its hard-wearing characteristics . Recycling of aluminium is also highly efficient . For example , used cans are often recycled , made into new cans , filled and put back on shelves within just six weeks .
What ’ s more , Sheerline is produced in the most energy efficient aluminium extrusion plant in the UK , from UK sourced aluminium .
4 . A unique corner jointing method for stunning looks and reduced scrap
Sheerline ’ s corner construction is unique and patented . Threaded screws are used to bind corners tightly together , which has a double benefit :
a ) Beautiful aesthetics : It allows hand tuning of each corner which helps prevent misaligned frames , offering a smooth , clean finish for perfect corners every time . On our Classic system it ’ s even allowed us to do away with beads for an uninterrupted internal mitre and removes the need for ugly ‘ through the bead ’ locking solutions .
b ) Reduced scrap : Our patented corner jointing method also helps vastly reduce manufacturing waste . As we ’ ve done away with the need to ‘ crimp ’ frames together , individual frame sections can be replaced at any point if damaged . So one scratch , or one badly ‘ crimped ’ corner doesn ’ t mean you have to scrap an entire frame .
