Steve Davis radio adverts pot
sales for The Window Outlet
The Window Outlet is enjoying business benefits with the help
of Network VEKA’s radio adverts featuring Steve Davis.
Director Graeme Pritt,
who tested the effect
of the adverts, said:
“I’ve never really rated
radio adverts before. I
wasn’t convinced that
they translated into any
realistic sales. However, I thought I’d test the
adverts on our local
station CFM and see if
they made any difference to our business.
“They’ve actually worked
so well, I’ve just booked
them to run for another
month.
“We took all three Steve
Davis adverts and adapted
them with our own jingle.
It’s a catchy tune that starts
with the words ‘it’s a beautiful day.’ Customers have told
us that they find themselves
singing it long after the ad
is played - so it certainly has
recall value.”
One particular customer
was a nurse who heard the
jingle when driving home. It
made her laugh after a long
night shift and the result
was that she called The Window Outlet a few days later
and the company ended up
doing a full house of new
windows for her.
The Window Outlet has
worked with CFM before on
its ‘Mission Christmas’ appeal which raised £407,325
of gifts and cash to support
7,428 local children.
The business has had
Steve Davis help at open
days and charity events and
the Network VEKA branding features heavily in its
adverts and on its vans.

Northamptonshire-based
Emplas opted to make the
switch in order to ensure
its customer base was being supplied with the best
possible snap-secure lock.
Glyn Roberts, head of
purchasing for Emplas,
said: “We have a wellearned reputation for
excellence, both in terms
of product innovation and
customer service, and as
soon as we saw ATK in
action we knew that if we
didn’t add it to our offering
we wouldn’t be living up
to it. It is undoubtedly the
best snap-secure lock for
composite doors on the
market.”
Developed to assist
companies seeking to
adjust to the implementation of Document Q of the
Building Regulations, ATK
provides the ultimate protection in the fight against
lock-snapping. It is currently the only Euro-cylinder

carries the Master Locksmith Association’s highest
rating – SS312 Sold Secure
Diamond accreditation –,
a British Kitemark TS007
3-star rating and Secured

ATK also features a

incorporates Avocet’s new
