3. Keep it clean
PEOPLE’S homes aren’t building
sites, so anything you can do to
keep it clean means happier cus-
tomers and less for you to have to
tidy. For example, using multi-foil
insulation which is just cut to size,
creates no mess at all.
4. It doesn’t take two
USING innovative products like mul-
ti-foil insulation (is not only clean)
but can be transported easily and
more importantly fitted by just one
person. This means leaving other
colleagues to get on with other jobs
and complete the job quicker.
6. Let the
product do
the talking
YOU can’t be good
at everything and
salespeople are
often born salespeo-
ple – so if you’re a
professional installer,
chances are that’s
not you. In which
case, forget the hard
sell and let the prod-
uct, the professional
partnerships (like the
LABC) and customer
recommendations do
the selling for you.
5. Safety first, and check, check and check again
IT’S important that you the installer and the customer have peace of mind when replac-
ing a conservatory roof – we’ve all seen the picture of the collapsed roof! Choose a
system that; has an LABC registered detail, checks each project with a structural engi-
neer and can offer comprehensive Building Regulations Certification is key.
7. Make your
customer’s life easier
IT’S the small things that make
the difference. Many systems
make it difficult for customers to
fit blinds; they can be installed to
the side of each frame but that
can cause problems with weight
over time (and could mean they
need a range of individually sized
blinds, an expense they will be
aware of). Choose a system that
allows blinds to simply be fitted
to the structure. It’s always worth
mentioning that your method
of construction means they can
avoid this extra expense.
