Derek Warwick chooses Modus for its practical aesthetic

Recent investments by Morley Glass & Glazing have doubled its production capacity , making it possible to manufacture up to 3000 sealed units with integral blinds inside per week .
The business , which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year , specialises in manufacturing Uni-Blind ® sealed units with Screen- Line ® integral blinds inside . It has invested £ 700,000 in a second IGU production line , which has now been
installed at its 50,000 sq ft factory in Leeds .
Ian Short , managing director at Morley Glass & Glazing , said : “ When we moved into larger premises in 2016 we invested in a 58-metre long automated sealed unit production line from Best Makina ”.
Morley Glass has achieved 30 % year-on-year growth as demand continues to increase for its Uni- Blind ® sealed units with ScreenLine ® blinds inside , and this growth is set to continue .
The Uni-Blinds ® range provides the widest choice of integral blinds in double and triple glazed units , with all manual , solar and motorised versions available in the industry ’ s shortest lead-time of 10 days from 11am any Friday .
Appearance , quality and low maintenance led Derek Warwick Developments to equip its upmarket development on the Dorset coast with PVC-U systems from Eurocell .
Designed by the award-winning architects David James , Durlston Point is a superb arrangement of five detached houses that occupies a commanding position in Swanage . The houses feature Modus casement windows in Moondust Grey , Aspect bi-fold doors and white Eurocell fascias and soffits .
The decision to install PVC-U products on the external envelope of the house was both practical and aesthetic , as Lance Macklin , a director at the company , explains . “ This is an exposed coastal location , so the doors and windows have to be robust as well as good-looking .
Both Modus and Aspect are guaranteed : Modus for 12 years ; Aspect bi-fold door profiles for ten years , and door furniture for five .
The Modus system is available in nine solid and woodgrain-effect colours , all of which are available with white internal finishes to create a light and airy living environment

Leading VEKA trade fabricator Modplan has just announced more colours from its Variations range will now be available from stock .
From 1st June , Modplan will stock an additional three perennial favourite finishes - Anthracite Grey on White , Anthracite Grey on Grey and Chartwell Green on White .

Frames can be painted in any RAL colour and a wide range of finishes is also available , including woodgrain effects . This means any products not yet available in a foiled finish can be spray painted to match foiled items , creating a streamlined and complete look across multiple products . Modplan also offers an all-over colour solution because as well as spraying the interior and exterior frames , the areas that are visible when the window is open are also sprayed , something that gives a much more sophisticated result .
