We see sustainability as having three pillars of responsibility : business , social and environmental . The first factor of sustainable business is choosing a partner which is viable for the long term , we have seen many window and door manufacturers leave the industry in the last 18 months alone , by not controlling their costs in line with demand or simply by not charging enough , the problem with a cheap price , which of course is initially attractive , is that installers have been left underwriting thousands of 10 year product guarantee ’ s to their customers .
The second part of being a responsible business is ensuring the windows and doors being supplied are appropriately accredited and evidenced and those accreditations are managed via an auditable Quality Assurance system . It ’ s no secret that tens of thousands of windows are entering the UK market without the required compliance or evidence , and that ’ s scary . Again , it will be the installer that ultimately suffers , if and when inspected ,

as they will be responsible for replacing the windows and doors from a supplier that can offer the certification and evidence .

It is built on the tried and trusted ALUK platforms but now are offered with High Insulation ( HI ) as standard . CWG has also simplified the glass offer and offer customers a compliant solution as standard . Rule of thumb Double Glazed to meet Refurbishment U value compliance and triple glazed to meet New Build Compliance – Simple .
All window options including Contemporary Flat Sash , Flush Sash and Heritage 58 Sash share the same frame and ancillaries , so they are completely suited . They are available with PAS24:2022 and SBD options for new build .
Entrance doors , French doors and bifolding doors also share the same platforms and ancillaries as the windows – complete flexibility . They are also available with PAS2024:2022 and SBD options – Simple .
