EXPAND YOUR WINDOW
BUSINESS WITH ROOFLINE
Freefoam Building Products has
launched a new video to illustrate how PVC
roofline products work seamlessly as part
of a wider home improvement offering.
Working with Nottingham-based com-
pany N G Roofline Windows & Doors Ltd
Freefoam filmed a refurbishment instal-
lation to illustrate how roofline products,
fascia, soffit and gutter, can be fitted as part
of a wider project including replacement
windows and doors.
Owner Ashley Marvin started his business
in 2012, offering fascia, soffit and guttering
in and around the Nottinghamshire area.
Working to a very high standard, with first
class customer reviews, Ashley soon found
that promoting and fitting roofline led to
customers requesting other long lasting,
low maintenance PVC home improvements.
The company now fit doors, windows, flat
roofs and dry verge with several fitting
teams who specialise in different areas of
work.
Ashley explained: “The business has
gradually grown over the last seven years. I
started off with roofline but wanted to ex-
pand what we offered. Doors and windows
were a natural progression from fascia and
soffit, and work perfectly together for us.
Homeowners want long lasting, low main-
tenance products on their home, and we
can offer the full package.”
N G Roofline Windows & Doors are a
Freefoam Registered Installer. Freefoam
know that roofline products are fitted by a
range of companies including window and
conservatory installers, roofers and general
builders. Freefoam are committed to sup-
porting all home improvement businesses
so the scheme is open to any company who
are fitting roofline on a regular basis.

URBAN DOOR STYLING WITH
THE ABODA COLLECTION
The ABODA Collection from Rocal
Group is a revolutionary range of premium
door panels, that have been carefully de-
veloped with true urban design credentials
and by harnessing the latest materials.
This is a new evolutionary product
development from Rocal Group which fea-
tures high performance PVCu door skins
for outstanding long-term performance,
whatever the climatic conditions. There are
16 designs in the range with nine different
finishes for the standard ABODA series,
along with a further 20 finishes available
in the striking STEE-AL collection.
The STEE-AL collection within ABODA
introduces a flush 316 grade stainless steel
glazing system, while the standard range
harnesses a new slimline variant. There
are also a number of glass options from
the Baroque, Metro, Ornate and Principal
ranges, which can be seen in the dedicated
20-page brochure and online at aboda-
doors.co.uk.
Stephen Nadin, Managing Director of Ro-
cal Group commented: “We have spent some
time in developing ABODA as we firmly
believe that there is a market for premium,
well-designed and high specification door
panels. We’ve introduced new foiled finishes,
a flush steel glazing system and modern
design thinking to create something that we
believe is the ultimate urban range in the
sector. The entrance door market for panel
doors still provides a sizeable opportunity
for companies who are keen to retain their
door manufacturing facilities and with the
latest CoolSkin door skins, reinvigorate the
door panel sales with a product with proven
long-term performance.”

NEVER A CHORE - SPECTUS ON
SPEC FOR RETIREMENT VILLAGE
Over 300 Spectus Elite 70
System windows were used in
the construction of a new build
retirement village in Chorley
town centre.
Chorley Council commissioned a
65-apartment retirement village to
provide those aged 55 and above
with an independent livingwe
space with access to care and sup-
port. The development, Primrose
Gardens, is in the centre of Chorley
and is part of the Council’s strategic
masterplan for the town centre.
The development partner for
the build was Eric Wright Con-
struction. The window contract on
the build was awarded to Spectus
Approved Window contractor
JADE Window and Door Special-
ists, a family run company based
in Batley with over 25 years’ expe-
rience in the industry.
The 65 apartments had over 300
windows in total manufactured
in anthracite grey on the external
face and white internally. Thermal
efficiency was a particular focus
to keep running costs on the
apartments to a minimum.
The Elite 70 System from Spec-
tus was able to meet this require-
ment. It is a five-chamber system,
which increases thermal perfor-
mance, meaning it is capable of
achieving a Window Energy Rat-
ing of A+ and U-Values to 0.8W/
m2K. The system is Secured by
Design accredited where a high
level of security is a requirement.
Primrose Gardens’ town centre
location meant careful program-
ming and logistics planning was
required to ensure minimum dis-
ruption and safe access. The con-
struction was also on a reduced
timeframe to enable Chorley
Council to start delivering services
as quickly as possible.
