FIVE MORE COMPANIES SIGN UP FOR UK PAVILION

The UK Pavilion at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2018, hosted by the Glass and Glazing Federation( GGF), will have five new co-exhibitors joining the six original companies at the world’ s largest international trade fair for the window industry.
In 2016, the GGF set up and organised the UK Pavilion within the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE exhibition. For

2018, the GGF has more than doubled the size of the Pavilion with 200m2 reserved to provide a designated area for 12 British companies to co-exhibit and reach a huge international market in excess of 100,000 trade visitors.
FENSTERBAU FRON- TALE 2018 takes place in Nuremberg on 21-24 March and reflects the worldwide innovations in windows, doors and facades. Architects, carpenters, window and facade manufacturers,
and the specialist trade will update on the latest profile systems, glass in architecture, fixing equipment, hardware, safety equipment, machines, installations and many more products.

New Head of Membership and Training

SHAUN MCALLISTER APPOINTED AS MANAGING DIRECTOR

The Glass and Glazing Federation( GGF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Shaun McAllister as Managing Director as the Federation continues to build its senior management team.
With over 30 years’ experience in the home improvement industry, Shaun brings to the Federation a wealth of knowledge and core industry experience.
Shaun has been associated with several glass and glazing companies including G. F Kite, Weatherseal, Mumford and Wood, and the Anglian Group.
In 1983, Shaun started life in the industry as a fabricator before undertaking numerous roles throughout the fenestration supply chain including working as an Installer, Surveyor, Installation Manager, Divisional Operations Manager, Regional Sales Manager and from 2007 to 2016 as Conservatory Director at the Anglian Group.
Recently Shaun has undertaken secondments within Anglian as diverse as Regional Sales Manager for the South East to overseeing the integration of a new survey and manufacturing software system.

The Glass and Glazing Federation( GGF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Hearn as Head of Membership and Training. Richard has an extensive background in professional membership bodies, focused on professional qualifications, accreditation and CPD( Continued Professional Development). He is specialist in developing and implementing membership and training strategies.
He joins from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development( CIPD) where, as Head of Member and Customer Development he transformed the membership focus over three years increasing both membership and revenues.
Richard has also worked for Chartered Institute of Management Accountants( CIMA) and for the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales( ICAEW). His commercial experience also includes terms at Ernst and Young and law firm Taylor Wessing developing customer value propositions. Richard has also consulted to the British Retail Consortium( BRC) and the Federation of Small Businesses( FSB).

Appointment of Commercial Managing Director

The GGF Group has announced the appointment of Billy Quinn as managing director of its commercial subsidiary companies – FENSA, GGFi, BFRC, RISA and Borough IT.
Billy Quinn is a highly accomplished business leader, commercial director and non-executive director who brings a wealth of experience to the GGF Group.
Most recently as commercial director for the online digital training provider CCUK, he has also successfully held senior commercial roles within several blue-chip retailing groups including HRG, Kingfisher and B & Q. Additionally, Billy has experience in the not-for-profit sector holding the position of non-executive board chair of The Furniture Ombudsman( TFO).
Billy joins the GGF Group at a time of steady growth and also during a transitional period of restructure. With this appointment the GGF Group aims to strengthen its commercial arm which will subsequently benefit all connected to the federation.
