Pro Installer Guide to Installer Support - Issue 02 | Page 4
A Two Step
Process
I
reland based PVCu manufacturer and
supplier, Camden, advises installers on
how they can benefit from two easy to
understand steps, working with one of its
ever growing UK Trade Counter network.
Easing
The Admin
Headache For
Tradesmen
The new version of Powered Now’s app for
simplifying paperwork for tradesmen on the move
adds support for Android and a multi-user capability
that lets whole teams share information. It also
adds new functionality designed to automate even
more of the routine administration that every trade
business has to undertake.
The app provides a comprehensive admin toolkit
for every step from preparing an estimate through
to taking payment online.
New in Version 3:
• The Multi-user edition automatically shares
information across all your employees. You
can assign team members different roles
allowing them to access different parts of the
software so, for instance, engineers cannot
see all financial details.
• Powered Now is now available on Android
as well as Apple’s iPad/iPhone, extending
the number of people who can use it. It also
means that while the boss can control things
using an iPad, his team might be equipped
with lower cost Android smartphones.
Obviously, since all data is shared across all
devices, the loss of a device does not lead to
loss of data.
• Other features include the ability to record
hours spent on appointments; the facility for
engineers to snap before and after pictures of
jobs and record general notes; and the ability
to capture customer signatures for a variety of
purposes.

get an email with their details, specification
and importantly - the cost to you.
All you do is add your additional costs,
including installation and margin, and send
them your quote.
Camden works hard with partners to
help them grow their business because as
their customers grow, they grow too.
#2 Make a Good
First Impression
#1 Quoting Made Easy
KISS - keep it simple, stupid!
A basic and common-sense approach
to business that recognises that processes
work best when they are kept as simple
and intuitive as possible. When it comes
to getting customers to take the next step,
making it as easy as possible for them to
get a quote is critical.
As a Camden partner, one benefit the
company offers is ways of making quoting
simple and easy for you and your potential
customers.
With interactive apps like the composite
door, vertical slider and bi-fold builders;
which can be embedded in your website,
your customers can view, play around and
create their ideal door or window with just
a click and after choosing the ideal product
for them they automatically get a response
thanking them for using the site, and you
You only get one chance at a first
impression. In today’s digital world, your
website is likely to be the first encounter a
potential customer has with your business;
an encounter that will go a long way
to creating their impression of you as a
business and whether you get to second
base. So whether, it’s a consumer looking
for someone they can trust with their hard
earned investment in new windows, doors,
conservatory or home improvement, or
a trade customer looking for someone
who is going to provide them with the
products and, vitally, support to help them
grow their business, your website has a
huge role to play in creating the right first
impression.
Making it look good - simple navigation,
short easy to read copy, good pictures - is
only part of it.Your customers will be
checking out other sites, and they may
look good too. Getting them to interact
and engage with you is essential if you
want them to come back to your site and,
at least, give you a shot at their business.
As a Camden customer, they offer you
the tools you need - whether that’s an engaging new website with built in quoting
systems, interactive product microsites or
embedded apps, they ensure you make the
right first impression.
