The new Contemporary Collections are part of Vista’s existing XtremeDoor range but will have their own stand-alone brochure. The main difference is the use of the new LINKS door blank which has been cleverly etched to replicate the aesthetics of aluminium with a rough cast finish. It is the glazing systems that define the two contem- porary collections though – Inox and Urban. The Inox door uses finely grained 316 grade stainless steel glazing frames which, as well as adding a distinc- tive European flair, are guar- anteed to keep their high shine and stunning looks for years to come. The Urban door, mean- while, is glazed using a brand new contemporary chamfered cassette system with a colour-matched finish to the door and the same rough cast aluminium feel. Both doors can be com- bined with a selection of beautiful, modern decorative glass options which comple- ment the door style. The World’s first Apple HomeKit Multipoint Smart Lock is revealed at Giant US Tech Show Haydon Statham, Vista’s National Sales Manager, said: “We are really excited about our new Collections, as these stunning, modern, contem- porary doors will provide our existing customers with a great product to add to their regular range.” While the stylish doors look the part, they will, of course, fea- ture all the benefits of Vista’s in-demand XtremeDoor, including the highest level of security and thermal efficien- cy on the market today. www.vistapanels.co.uk and window hardware spe- cialist Mighton Products has developed and launched a new smart lock with Apple HomeKit technology at its heart, a world first for mul- tipoint door locks. Mighton unveiled Avia at the giant Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which took place in Las Vegas early in January. Tech-hungry consumers clamoured to learn how Mighton Avia revolutionises entrance door security using Apple devices: the multi- point locks are secured by simply raising the handle and unlocked using the dedicated Avia app installed on an Apple iPhone or iPad, by using a highly secure key fob from a range of up to 30 metres, or via an electronic keypad. A further, exciting innovation that will be avail- able later in 2019 is face recognition, activated via an optional accessory. The Apple HomeKit plat- form is highly secure and stable and users of the Avia app can learn at a glance the status of the lock, with a full audit trail recorded for all activity. Mighton Avia smart locks and accessories will be available from May 2019. www.mightonproducts.com New Range of Friction Stays from Kenrick Kenrick has strengthened its range of market-leading hardware solutions with the launch of a comprehensive suite of friction stays.
