Regency Glass is set to transform the landscape of high-performance glazing in the UK, announcing the launch of its next-generation triple-glazed unit( TGU), Regency Triple featuring Corning ® Enlighten™ Glass. The product will be available to customers in Spring 2026, aligning with the company’ s transition into its new 420,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Warrington. This strategic move, driven by increased demand and the opportunity to scale production capacity, has accelerated investment in advanced automation and phased installation of new machinery. This milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter for the business, one defined by innovation, capability, and strategic growth.
For decades, Regency Glass has built its reputation on quality, service, and industry leadership. Now, in collaboration with Corning Incorporated, a world-leader in glass, ceramics and materials science, Regency is introducing a product that challenges long-standing assumptions about weight, performance, and practicality in triple glazing.

A Familiar Depth. A Completely New Performance Level
Regency Triple featuring Corning Enlighten Glass introduces a breakthrough approach to thermal efficiency. Using Corning ® Enlighten™ Glass, a 0.5mm boro-aluminosilicate glass with an exceptionally low coefficient of thermal expansion, Regency has engineered an advanced TGU that delivers triple-glazing performance without the excess weight or installation complications typically associated with TGUs.
The results are remarkable:
• 0.8 W / m ² K performance in a 28mm cavity, the same depth traditionally associated with standard double-glazed units.
• Only 5 % heavier than a standard DGU, making it suitable for use in existing frames and hardware.
• No re-specifying frames. No structural changes. No installation strain.
This means installers, fabricators, and homeowners can achieve a substantial improvement in performance, including reduced heat loss and enhanced energy

efficiency, without the compromises that have historically been required to accommodate triple glazing.
Purpose-Built for Real-World Use
Whereas traditional triple-glazed units rely on three panes of standard soda-lime glass, the centre pane of Regency Triple uses Corning ® Enlighten™ Glass, a glass specifically engineered to resist thermal stress while maintaining strength at an ultra-thin profile. Its low coefficient of thermal expansion means the glass naturally withstands rapid heating and cooling, a common cause of centre-pane stress fractures in standard TGUs.
Using this speciality glass in these advanced TGUs not only improves durability but also enables larger cavity widths, enhancing insulating performance while keeping overall weight low.
The product is available in bespoke configurations; however, the most common cavity U-values are:
• 0.8 W / m ² K in a 28mm unit
• 0.6 W / m ² K in a 36mm unit
• 0.5 W / m ² K in a 44mm unit
These performance levels meet and exceed emerging demands for energy-efficient specification, especially in housing, commercial builds, and retrofit applications.
Scaling Up: New Facility, New Capabilities
To support growing demand, Regency Glass is relocating to a new, 420,000 sq. ft. production facility in Warrington. The site features multiple Glaston ® ULTRA TPS ® IGU lines, as well as HEGLA ® SortJet technology and Galactic thin-glass cutting tables, enabling the efficient, repeatable, and high-precision manufacturing of Regency Triple featuring Corning ® Enlighten™ Glass.
