In 2019 & 2020 , the School of Business PRME Team participated in international events which provided insights into current developments in responsible management education and informed the planning , initiation , implementation and capturing of various PRME activities in the School .
Direct outcomes from participation include :

Staff from the School of Business , our alumni and industry partners played a signifi cant role in the Virtual PRME Global Forum - Eastern hemisphere session . Our Head of School , Professor Pervaiz Ahmed shared the challenges faced in the management of education during the COVID-19 pandemic . While Charis Wong , a Monash Business alumni , presented ‘ my delivery heroes ’, a kindness movement that she started with Radhika Divya Chelliah to support the community of delivery workers , and Rashvin Pal Singh , Group CEO of Biji-Biji Initiative and a valuable industry partner , discussed skills needed by fresh graduates in this new and disruptive decade . The virtual conference was jointly organised by Monash Malaysia ’ s PRME team and saw the participation of over 1,000 attendees worldwide .
Inaugural Global Refugee Forum December 2019 , Switzerland >
Priya Sharma attended the historic fi rst Global Refugee Forum ( GRF ), a unique platform for multi-stakeholder and multi-sectoral partnerships to mobilise action towards the objectives of the Global Compact on Refugees , and designed to bring real change to the lives of refugees and the countries and communities that receive them . As our PRME Ambassador , Priya Sharma presented the school ’ s initiatives to make higher education more accessible to refugee youths in Malaysia .
Sustainable Brands KL 2019 Conference > October 2019 , Malaysia
This conference highlighted the role of science , technology , education and innovation in creating sustainable businesses for the future . And provided a platform for corporations , enterprises and nongovernmental organisations to access and leverage new insights , challenges and innovations in business sustainability . Priya Sharma delivered a presentation on the role of Business Schools in Sustainable Development and demonstrated how the gap between businesses and the future generation of business leaders can be bridged through high quality research , educational excellence and extensive engagement with industry , community and the government .

Dr . Ananda Samudhram and Vijayamalar Sivasegaran had the privilege to meet and exchange views with fellow researchers on how the School is moving the PRME initiatives forward . Dr . Ananda also presented a paper on Malaysia ’ s challenges with climate change policy implementation .
