Mother’s day Enterprise
In Key Stage 1, Mother’s Day was an occasion for yet another ‘Enterprise Day’as children handcrafted mother’s day gifts for their peers. They designed beautiful frames, flower pots with heart touching messages, note-holders, cards and lots of other items for their stalls. It was impressive to observe the students working in teams- the enterprising sellers demonstrating creativity in marketing their products to the smart buyers, who made wise choices before deciding to buy something special for their moms!
As every enterprise day, this day too added immensely to their entrepreneur, communication and collaborative skills, strengthening the learning for life targets of our curriculum.
The memorable day also saw an overwhelming enthusiasm in children to express their love for their mothers in the form of poems, and short narratives, showering them with favours of the written word, which were taken home as gifts to show the strong bond that they share with their moms!!
