If the worst happens on our roads, it is comforting to know that there are people out there willing to give their time to help. Whether fighting fire, hazard danger or extricating trapped person in motor vehicles, SES and Fire Rescue volunteers are on call in times of duress on our highways and roads. Hay SES and Fire and Rescue teams held a combined training night in January in order to familiarise themselves with each others rescue equipment. We pray it never happens, but if their is a major event on our roads, these volunteers are more than ready to help. Hay SES (State Emergency Service) and Hay Fire & Rescue personnel teamed up in January for a combined equipment exercise.
