Hay CWA (Country Women’s Association) held a successful street stall at the Old Fire Station in Lachlan Street. Cakes, scones, cookies and handicraft items were snapped up by eager shoppers looking for morning/afternoon tea treats. Organised by Georgie Neill and Amy Walters the stall raised a lovely sum which will be added to funds which go towards scholarships for local students, at the end of the year. Winner of the box of fresh fruit & vegetables, donated by Foodworks, was Michelle Owen. In other CWA news, the hard decision has been made not to hold the Flower Show this year.
