The Hay Lions annual Goods and
Services auction attracted a huge
crowd and raised nearly $20,000 for
the club. Seventy items went under the
auctioneers hammer, including a very
sought after ‘Lara Catering Chocolate
Cake.’ Last years losing bidders got a
bargain when their bid of $280 was
successful.
Hamish Cullen Ward and Peter Lewis
(Seniors Coach) were all smiles when
their bid of $280 won the “Lara Catering
Chocolate Cake.”
President Anthony Slattery thanked all
sponsors, workers and organisers of
the night. “This year is one of our better
years,” said Anthony. With the AGM
coming up at the end of the year he
also encouraged players and
supporters to put their hand up as there
is a lot of work to be done by a small
committee.
