A place where parents and caregivers can get support and friendship with those living the same daily struggles of raising children. Child and family assistance and services are available if needed but the group is mainly an informal gathering for sharing and caring for one another. And is in the process of applying for further funding in order to bring specialist speakers to the meetings. Children are very welcome to come along and play while adults get a chance to talk. The Hay Shire in partnership with Griffith Early Childhood Intervention Service invited Tanya to go along to the community Inclusion Consultations. “The aim of this consultation is to get together & discuss disability in our community, said Tanya, “I will talk about why we have our group, how it can help people in our community & how we can improve it.” Tanya will post flyers in Foodworks and IGA each month to remind everyone of the next meeting date, or Tanya can be contacted on 0407 340 267. 9
