The Salvos Red Shield Appeal attracted many volunteers for the annual door knock at the end of May. Westpac bank opened its doors for the Red Shield Appeal. Manager, Sharon Ebsworth and Becky Hyde worked behind the counter collating funds. $1,337.20 was raised before the appeal started in earnest on Sunday, 25th May. 5 Madeline Headon was one of many who volunteered their time for the Red Shield Appeal. This appeal is a vital part of ‘Salvos’ fundraising, allowing their many welfare programs to continue. The Salvation Army assists clients in Hay, especially around Christmas time.
