GRANT TO ESTABLISH RECORDING STUDIO FOR 2HAYFM Community radio station, 2HayFM, is poised to move. John Williams The Nationals Member for Murray-Darling has announced a one-off NSW Government grant of $10,000 to the Hay Shire Council to establish a recording studio on behalf of Hay’s Community Radio Station, 2HAYFM. public.” “I am pleased the NSW Government was able to provide this funding to the Hay Shire Council,” Mr Williams said. Mr Williams said the funding will assist with the relocation of 2HAYFM to a more central location in Hay. “The board and staff are extremely happy and appreciate the grant,” said President of the radio station board, Marg Myers, “The plan is to have more outdoor broadcasts which will enable the community to be more involved.” Plans and a date for the move are yet to be finalised . “2HAYFM has been broadcasting for close to 20 years for the Hay community and surrounding areas. It is a vital piece of infrastructure for the community,” said Mr. Williams. “Hay Shire Council will be using the grant to relocate 2HAYFM from its current location to a central location in town.
