Breaking Down The Barriers of Distance Video link classes are now available at the TAFE NSW Hay Campus in Lachlan Street. A recent open day at the Hay Campus allowed prospective students to experience the virtual classroom setting, Finley TAFE Aged Care students and their teacher appeared on the TV. Video linking allows students to have social interaction and share experiences through a virtual classroom. Students and teachers on both sides of the link can see and hear each other as in an actual classroom. This link enables classes with few numbers in each town to still have those classes which might not otherwise be avaiable. Video link classroom with Students in Finely. This type of class room means travel is no longer a hindrance to study. Through connected classrooms, Hay TAFE can now offer Responsible Service of Alcohol courses every two weeks, allowing students to obtain the certificate for work more readily. It also allows Hay Campus to deliver courses which have not been available due to small class numbers. A major advantage is that students no longer have to travel long distances in order to study.
