Tony is leaving for greener pastures Hay Services Club staff, directors and members farewelled their Secretary Manager, Tony McNamara in May. Tony is leaving Hay to manage a dairy farm near Berrigan. “The club has gone from strength to strength under Tony’s management,” said Dir. Neil Headon. “it’s been a pleasure knowing you.” A sentiment which was echoed by everyone who spoke at the farewell. Roz Andrews read a poem, which had been written specifically for the night, by Graham Cummings. Tony thanked everyone for the support over the last nearly seven years, and gave special thanks to wife, Gwenda, for all her support and help over his time at the club. “I’m sad to leave”, he said. “”With Tony’s P.R. skills,” said Jim Bissett, “he will certainly get the freshest milk from those cows.” Tony was presented with gifts of appreciation from the club, card players and staff.
