Service Men and Women, RSL members and Affiliates march along Pine Street. Emergency Services were well represented with Police, SES and Fire and Rescue representatives. Pony Club riders representing the Light Horse Brigade. The Boer War Cenotaph at Hay Park is not forgotten on ANZAC Day. The Pearson family and friends laid a memorial wreath, as did Paul Edwards. On the front lawns of the Hay War Memorial High School, a well attended Commemoration Service was held. Julie Lawrence sang the hymn: The Recessional, Paul Edwards recited the ‘Lord Prayer’, David Houston gave the ‘Prayer of Thanks Giving’, Sing Australia sang Pack up your troubles/A long road to Tipperary, the School Captains and Captain Teague gave keynote addresses. After Ex-Servicemen ‘Fell In’ facing the flag, a minutes silence was observed, the Last Post played and the Ode Recited ..... Lest We Forget. For so much, what shall we repay? 2015 is the Centenary of the Gallipoli landings. 6
