Taste Coly… Food & Farm Festival
BALLOONS
Celebrated international foodie, Rebecca Sullivan, will be the highly anticipated
guest speaker at one of the Riverina’s premier events for 2014, the Taste
Coleambally Food and Farm Festival on Sunday June 1st.
WILL DO
As the ambassador for the Taste Riverina Festival in 2013, Rebecca was
greatly impressed with the region; it’s passion for food and doing things “the
way Grandma used to”.
The author of the acclaimed Like Grandma Used to Make, Rebecca also
launched the Real Food Festival in London, worked on Slow Food Nation in
San Francisco, as well as coffee farming in Uganda and teaching scientists the
art of communications in the Maldives for the United Nations. She has also
appeared regularly on TODAY and The Circle.
Having recently re-settled back in Australia, Rebecca launched Dirty Girl
Kitchen, a community-supported cooperative inspiring women to be more in
touch with the land and old crafts, known as “the granny movement” and is
excited to return to the region for the Taste Coleambally Food and Farm
Festival.
Festival organizer, Julie Bellato said the committee are thrilled to have
Rebecca speaking at the much anticipated, 50 Mile Taste Coly meal,
sponsored by Ingredion.
Rebecca will be interacting with the community, producers and farmers over
the course of the festival and will MC Coleambally’s very own version of My
Kitchen Rules: The Coly Cook-Off for kids and adults, beginning 1.30pm
Sunday 1st June at the Coleambally Community Club.
There will be markets, photo opportunities with cute animals and John Deere
Tractors, “Meet the Artisans” and art displays, home cooking and coffee to
sample, fun activities for the kids and lots more.
The Taste Coleambally Food and Farm Festival is on Sunday 1st June.
