Hay Talent on Show for Diabetes “Nobody does these nights as well as Hay. You could teach a thing or two to others.” said Tom Marriott from Diabetes Australia. The Happy Wanderers concert is always a fun night with funds raised going to Griffith Diabetes Australia which brings specialists to Griffith. Funds also aide local people with diabetes who are in need of assistance. This years concert raised nearly $1,500 with thanks to all the volunteers and performers. Singers: Neil and Madeline Headon and Julie-Anne Jones Master of Ceremonies, Becky Hyde’s bubbly personality kept the audience entertained while acts prepared for their performances. Becky also led the audience in sing a longs. Betty Hanslow was a busy bee in the lead up to the concert, and on the night. Mrs Brown and Winnie made an hilarious visit with Grandpa. Much to the amusement of the crowd, the lightly rehearsed skit fell apart on many occasions when Winnie “Lost the plot” and laughed til she cried. 14
