Harmony Day Hay Guides celebrated Harmony Day by taking to the street and handing out orange balloons and cards with little pom poms. The enduring message this harmony day, Everyone Belongs, is in keeping with Guides Australia’s purpose of enabling young girls and women from all walks of life to have fun, develop friendships and build life skills. Guides Australia want all young girls to become confident, selfrespecting and responsible community members. Harmony Day is a day to celebrate Australia’s diversity. It is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home – from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world. Monica Eade assisted guides Meagan Foggo, Ella Jackson, Caitlyn Eade and Emily Ferguson, and Guide leader Bev Wislon distribute balloons and cards to people in Lachlan Street.
