Three senior gentlemen are out for a walk. One of them remarks, “It’s windy.” Another replies, “No way. It’s Thursday.” The third one says, “Me too. Let’s get a drink.” Senior Citizens Luncheon The launch of seniors Week coincided with St. Patricks Day this year. The Memorial Hall was a sea of green as Senior Citizens gathered for the first of many activities celebrating Seniors Week. Volunteers prepared a lovely morning tea and fabulous three course lunch which was enjoyed by more than 90 of our Seniors. Children from Hay Public School and St. Mary’s School, the Sing Australia Choir entertained and Beth Coffey played the piano for a good old fashioned sing-a-long. Jenny Clarke’s Exercise Group and the Tai Chi group also gave a demonstration of gentle exercise which help with balance. Marg Tighe has been organising the Seniors Luncheon for over twenty years.
