Record breaking winner of the Dog Jump Lui with his owner Casey Waters. Casey’s dog Panda took third place, and previous record holder Budge with Glen Jamieson. Lui jumped 2.15 meters or 7 feet in the old scale. Some jump from the front, others make their own decisions. Metal work entries were of very high standard this year according to the judges. Sand Sculptor Peter Bignell from Tasmania spent two days creating this piece. He also gave instruction to children interested in having a go themselves. Jim Little not only took out ‘Bloom of the Show’ but was also awarded “Most Successful Exhibitor’ in the Horticulture section. Jim, who has Parkinson’s Disease, still maintains his beautiful garden, and these awards are a credit to the time and work spent tending his plants. 16 Something a bit different and very clever in the gumboot decorating section for kids.
