John enjoyed himself so much he spent the whole of Saturday at the event. “It reminds me of the county fairs back A recent visitor to the Printed Post office is Mavis King. Mavis was born at the Hay Gaol in 1930. Born at only 1 pound she was placed in a bucket for burial. It was only when her distraught father demanded to see the baby, that it was discovered she was breathing. Mavis left Hay when she was very young, but still comes to visit with friends from Carrathool. She now resides at Lake Wyangan. home,” John told the Printed Post. He was spotted at most events throughout the day, and attended church on Sunday morning. He says he will be telling everyone about his visit to Hay and the wonderful people he met during his stay. Kevin is a registered councillor, and one of the instigators of Barnabas House, and visits Hay on a weekly basis. The donation will cover one counselling session, once a week for three months. It is envisaged that further donations will be made after that time. Unfortunately counselling is not, at present, covered by medicare rebates and can be expensive. Barnabas House does not turn down those in need due to their inability to pay, and the donation was gratefully received. Barnabas House receives little Government assistance.
