60 year Celebrations For D G Harrison and Sons In 1953 Don Harrison started his engineering business in a disused stable, where the IGA car park is now situated. The business spent its first nine years in the stables, until in 1962 Don built the first stage of the D.G. Harrison and Sons we see today. Kevin and Jeff Harrison celebrated sixty years in business with a trade fair and giveaways. Reps were on hand to help tradesmen with tool choices and display new products. Customers were treated to lunch and dinner with a few cold bevvies before the official cutting of the cake. The door prize of a beautiful gold plated socket set was won by Tom Lugsdin. Noel Griffiths won an automatic Welding Helmet donated by Collier and Miller and Peter May won the D G Harrison Automatic Welding Helmet. The workshop and merchandise section 2013.
