Keepsakes and Cards Taking plain photo prints and personalising their mounting is a good description of what scrap booking is. The Hay Hub is the place to be if you would like to try this hobby. Di Congdon hosts a group of women, “but men are also welcome to come along”, at 9am - 12pm and again 5.30pm - 9pm every Wednesday. Each member of the group “does their own thing” and “we help each other with ideas”, says Di. For a small fee of $3.00 per session, participants can enjoy a cuppa and bikkies with the society of like minded hobbyists. The fee also includes some of the crafting items used. At present the group are working on their Hay Show entries and special occasion cards. “I love it,” says Di Congdon, “We come up with a lot of ideas: new ideas all the time.” Everyone is invited to come along and see what the scrap bookers are doing, and try their hand at the craft.
