Made with Love

Left: Comfort toys for children in hospital and tiny clothes for‘ babies born sleeping’ knitted by the Hay Knitting Circle.
Right: Robyn Howard displays one of many knitted square rugs. Twenty three of these have been donated to organisations and families over the past two months.
Every second Wednesday, from 10am‘ til Noon, a group of knitters meet at the Hay Library to share their craft and have a cuppa and a bit of a natter. Squares are knitted and then sewn into blankets and wraps and donated to the hospital, Haydays and families in need.
Excess blankets, wraps and toys are sold and money donated to local causes. Tiny clothes are donated to hospitals for premature babies and‘ babies born sleeping’.
Experienced knitters and learners are encouraged to come along for morning tea and join the circle.
The Hay Library has a range of knitting books from beginner to advanced.
