Around the town

Hay Lions Service Club in conjunction with the HWMHS P & C Association hosted a successful Debutante Ball at the Services Club recently. Invitations went out in the school news letter last November / December and attracted eleven girls and their partners who trained for ten weeks to learn the dances and deportment for the night. Lions have been hosting the Ball for over 30 years, unfortunately due to declining numbers in the Service Club the ball was not held in 2012. P & C members are happy to support the event and it is planned to run again in 2014, with a date to be set. Photo courtesy‘ OUTBACK SNAPS’.
