Making craft items for the Hay show and representing Hay Guides at ANZAC Day , girl Guides are very busy . Guides meet every Wednesday 6.30pm to 8.30pm .
Hay Girl Guides have been busy recently with chocolate sales , Harmony Day , ANZAC Day followed by an activity day at the Guides Hall .
Marching in the ANZAC Parade not only reinforces the message behind the memorial day , the activity one task towards the girls ANZAC badge . The girls have also baked ANZAC cookies , made peace doves and paper wreaths .
With the Hay Show only four months away , guides are also practising their sewing and craft skills for entries into the show . Which will also count towards challenges .
Also on the agenda is the health and fitness badge . The girls each have a mp of Australia and for each walk they take with guides they colour a foot print ; when all are coloured the map is a completed challenge .
