ETC ’ s 2022-2023 Year

Excellence Through Classics ( ETC ) had an extraordinary year , driven by the unwavering dedication and immense passion of its committee volunteers , subcommittee chairs , and Executive Committee Leaders . We are immensely grateful for their commitment and enthusiasm .
Over the summer , ETC onboarded a record number of new volunteers . We took on 14 new volunteers this year - four serving on the Executive Committee , three serving as subcommittee chairs , and the remaining as committee volunteers across our 10 subcommittees . This year we also welcomed two new subcommittees to the ETC family - the Awards and Program Committee . The Awards Committee meets periodically throughout the year to review applications for ACL professional grants , Calliope Award , and Petrino Award . The Program Committee organizes all of ETC ' s Institute offerings in addition to virtual programming for teachers and students throughout the year
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and bid valete to several remarkable executive committee members and subcommittee chairs who have made outstanding contributions to ETC ' s mission : Kendal Ogles , Public Relations Chair ; Patrick M . Owens , SCRIBO Chair ; Nicole Wellington , Resources Coordinator ; and Andrea Stehle , Ad Hoc ETC Live Chair . Each has played pivotal roles in increasing ETC ' s visibility and promoting our programming and initiatives . Their service has been extraordinary , and I am so grateful for their dedication to empowering tomorrow ’ s classistics . Maximas Gratias !
