Natural Phenomenon Myth by Lucas Jackson , Grade 7
Mayon Volcano © Team 1
For their year-end assignment , students in Magistra Catherine Hayward ' s classes create their own projects that demonstrate something they enjoyed from the year in Latin . Lucas wove his interests in science , mythology , and writing to compose this original piece . man on his farm just outside Sparta was getting
A ready for a big day of harvesting his crops , which was in only three days . This man was Hermes Volcanius , not to get confused with Hermes the god , for he had no powers . This man relied on his harvesting days because he didn ’ t have much money . During the time between harvesting days , he would spend all the money he made and only purchase necessities . He had the food part of it sorted out , but there was currently a lot of inflation on water . He had to pay for the water because he didn ’ t have a well . He spent the first day hanging out with his family and teaching his two eldest sons some rules and tricks for when they would have to run the land . He woke up the next morning reviewing the plan for harvesting with his sons since they all had to pitch in on the massive farm .
Now you may be wondering when the volcano part is going to happen , and also whether this story is even going to be good . I promise that the volcano is coming soon , but I ’ m not entirely sure about your other question .
