On November 18- 20 , several Latin teachers dodged a historic winter storm to attend the ACTFL Convention which took place in Boston , Massachusetts .
There , they presented their current work , attended sessions on cuttingedge pedagogy , and supported colleagues earning awards . William Lee , Latin teacher at Tom C . Clark High School in San Antonio , Texas was recognized as ACTFL Teacher of the Year . Classics educators across the country rejoiced and celebrated this monumental achievement . Macte , William !
Additionally , Maureen Lamb , Latin teacher at the Ethel Walker School in Simsbury , Connecticut received the ACTFL / IALLT Award for Excellence in World Language Instruction Using Technology ( K-12 ). Euge , Maureen !
