Zoe Fox serves as a docent at the Getty Museum .
Project-Based Learning plays a key role in Zoe ’ s Latin classes , and her classes have enjoyed creating mosaics and frescoes . This semester , her students will study Roman provinces and create coins representing the culture of each .
“ While it means that my classroom often looks like a mix between an art studio and a construction zone ,” Zoe shares , “ I truly love to see the incredible products that my students create .”
Zoe ’ s Latin class celebrates the joy that comes from challenging work . “ My goal is still to foster a love of the subject , while also encouraging my students to embrace the challenge that learning Latin represents .”
As the Calliope Award winner , Zoe Fox will present a session sponsored by ETC at the 2023 ACL Institute in St . Louis , Missouri .
