stop comparing

Comparing yourself to others is a form of “checking”. You must stop this habit ASAP as it putting down yourself esteem. It will be absolutely challenging to stop the habit of comparing yourself and we all know that we should not be doing it because we all come from different families and cultures and because our DNA and genes are all different. You may be comparing yourself to someone who has bigger boobs, hips and thighs, you may wish that you had all those aspects in your body or maybe you want to have smaller hips and smaller boobs, unfortunately you can’t change your DNA and your body structure unless you do surgery which will cost you a lot of money. You sometimes may be comparing yourself to others without even realising, people compare themselves hundreds of times each and every day. You should start noticing yourself and think about yourself positively. Try to notice the good things not that bad.

When you compare yourself to others you may be thinking about how unfair it is that someone else has that body that you would die for to have. What affect do these thoughts have on your self-esteem. Rather than feeling sorry for yourself and putting yourself down say positive things that will boost up your esteem and start saying more helpful things.

Check Out Your Assumptions:

People are constantly always thinking that they are “fat”. For an example a lot of women think that if their thighs or stomach wobbles, it means that they are “fat”. In fact, wobbliness in a women’s body is a natural characteristic that most women have. We were made to wobble! Fir most women if they see that they are wobbling they would immediately think that they are becoming “fat” and that they are putting on weight. If you think that you are fat or suspicious or curious about why you wobble, wiggle or jiggle, then just google it up. You can also ask you parents, family, friends or your doctor about it.

Separate Feeling Bad From Feeling Fat

If you have bad body image issues, it could be really hard to segregate your feelings about how you feel about your own body. Sometimes people come home from work, school or from a place while they are feeling sad or mad about something that had happened. When people then look at themselves and see themselves as looking “fat” or “unattractive”. If you start to feel this, then you should ask yourself what has triggered this feeling. Try to identify the real reason of why you are feeling what you are feeling and segregate your feelings from colliding into each other.
