About the authors
Stephen McGuire
Stephen is Oxford Medical’s Head of Development and a practicing optometrist. Before concentrating
upon career development for doctors, he worked as Clinical Development Manager at Dollond & Aitchison,
being responsible for the recruitment, development, standards of compliance and performance of
optometrists. This included a focus on communication and team development between clinicians and the
various associated healthcare professionals they had to interact with in their day to day practice.
