It's been years, 12 to be exact, since I've gone to a different school, and now I, and my entire class, am leaving this place forever (melodramatic sobbing). Of course, it's not like we have a choice; all we have to look forward to is four more years of even more work. Many of us are leaving this shtetl of a school to a high school of up to 2,400 students while others are merely leaving to a slightly bigger shtetl... and you thought YOUR social life was a mess.
Personally, I have enjoyed nearly every year and event, especially the 8th grade Washington, D.C. trip.
These trips and experiences I had at Pressman have prepared me socially and academically for the enormous high school I'm attending. An advantage I have found in going to Beverly Hills High is that I'll be a new face among the other 599 incoming freshmen. A fresh start on that level is perfect for the soon-to-be-Pressmanite-alumni as they enter their new schools. There will be a few acquaintances joining me at Beverly Hills but more likely than not, I won't be seeing them that often. Those that will be leaving to slightly bigger private schools will still have the main advantage one had when they were at this school: the closeness to the fellow students and teachers. Alumni from this school have continually had wonderful years in high school and in the real world. I honestly believe that this was thanks to the preparation of Pressman Academy. I have had 12 wonderful years here, and now it is time to move on. (Cue more melodramatic sobbing.)
2014 Graduates .... ALREADY!?!?!?
