Crow River Senior Center: A community hub
The Crow River Senior Center’ s mission is to enrich lives by providing programs, services, social activities and a welcoming gathering place for seniors. It is located in the St. Michael City Center.
The seniors involved at the center have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, trips, as well as educational and recreational events. Noon meals are served at the center Tuesday through Thursday for $ 7. Reservations must be made by the Friday prior by calling the center.
There is no fee to join as it is a joint program of the cities of St. Michael, Albertville and Hanover and Senior Community Services; however, there is a cost for special events, field trips and certain activities.
The Crow River Senior Center is open to anyone with a focus on serving the communities surrounding Albertville, Hanover and St. Michael.
The Center offers recreational activities and opportunities for seniors to gather, but also is a hub for those looking for assistance and resources for seniors, like Meals on Wheels, legal services, 55 + driving classes, and support for filing taxes, navigating technology and arranging local transportation.
The HOME Program is a great program available at the Senior Center through Senior Community Services. To sign up, contact The Wright County HOME Program Coordinator at 763-416-7969.
The center offers tech support and mobile device support for cell phones, notebooks and laptops and in-home support services. Call 763-416-7969.
The Center also hosts two support groups each month- one for caregivers of those with Parkinson’ s Disease and a memory cafe for those affected by memory loss or dementia. There is no cost to attend either of these groups.
