National monitoring of child and forced labour
of the cotton harvest in 2016
The national monitoring of child and forced labour of the
cotton harvest in 2016 started on 15 September 2016.
As a part of awareness campaign in all regions and cities
the following steps had been undertaken:
-more than 500 banners urging for voluntary recruitment
of cotton-pickers had been widespread nationwide;
-386 banners and 45000 posters all over the country had
been underlining the unacceptability of child and forced
labour;
- 100 000 leaflets and flyers on administrative
responsibility for forced labour and the use of child labour
had been disseminated.
