T
he 21st Century has seen a
significant change in the way
students learn. In an effort to
empower our students with the

world we must embrace these in
the classroom as well.

Beginning in Fall 2014 Junior
High students will be required to bring their own iPad to school. Before
choosing this device a 6 month pilot program was conducted testing multiple
devices. The fundamental question being asked as we experimented with
various devices was, “Which device will enhance the learning experience of

our students?”
The unanimous choice was the iPad for its intuitive interface and its ability to
truly create learning experiences that before were not possible. To ensure
that our teachers are fully prepared with how to use the iPad as an
educational tool they will undergo a full year of professional development
training. During this time students will be using the iPads in the classroom as
the teachers try different applications.
