Winter Waterfowl Workshop
One of the highlights of winter is the arrival of migrating waterfowl at our local lakes and ponds ! Learn how to identify the various types of ducks , geese , and other species of birds that visit each winter . Field marks , behavior , and more will be covered during a presentation at the Nature Center , followed by a field trip to Lake Benson Park to test your new ID skills . This program is for beginner birders as well as experienced birders looking to refresh their winter waterfowl knowledge . Location : White Deer Park

The department is committed to providing opportunities for people with special needs to play team sports and socialize in a positive , self-esteem building environment . Look for an expansion of similar sports offerings for teens and adults in the future .
