There are many students in AP classes who get very high grades in the class , so the chance of AP students receiving a 70 % or above is very likely .
Some students , who typically take honors and academic classes , are afraid of taking AP classes . Even though AP classes are a lot of work , students who put in the work and effort can be very successful in these classes . Honors is not necessarily easier than AP classes and students who have taken honors classes can take APs and get good grades in the class . Also , many students who have been in academic classes in the previous years have taken AP classes and been very successful . Moving from an academic class to an AP class looks better on transcripts than staying in academic classes . Also , just because a student was not very successful in a previous class does not mean they will not be successful in another class . For example , students who have not been as successful in World History have been very successful in US History , and have chosen to take AP US History and did very well in the class . Many teachers say that a score or a grade does not define a student . If students are motivated and work hard , they will be successful in AP classes , especially since they have highly motivated and dedicated teachers who are there to help them . AP classes are a valuable experience and students should consider taking them at some point in high school to gain skills they can use in the future .
