Jason: It’ s okay. No one knew about my circumstances when I was in Atlanta. Shanna: And that was so admirable of Tynisa to stick by you when the road was rough. This is
truly indicative of you guys’ love. You see, this is why you guys are a PowerCouple. You didn’ t let anything hold you down and you are back and doing so many wonderful things in the community. Hats off to you both!!
Jason: Thank you, Shanna.
Shanna: No. Thank you for all your service. Now, you are running for Mayor. If you become the
Mayor of Georgetown, what would be some of the 1 st things you will implement?
Jason: When I become mayor, I want to sign off on papers to help young men get charges
expunged for first or second time nonviolent offenders. I believe in second chances. There are lots of men out there that can’ t be gainfully employed due to small blemishes on their records. I want to remedy that so they are able to get the jobs that they are qualified for and take care of their families and not have a mistake they made in the past hinder their entire life. Also, in the first 90 days of my mayoral tenure, I would like to change the cycle of poverty, promote jobs in Georgetown, increase economic development to make it more inclusive, and increase minimum wage for employees to $ 10 per hour for businesses with 10 or more employees that are in the city limits.
Shanna: I’ m so proud of you Jason! I commend you and Tynisa on the work you are doing in
Georgetown.
